Week 1 - Devlog
The first week, we worked on the general theme and premise of our game, as well as made the teams. My teammate, Martin, and I looked at different images online, such as foods, places and objects in order to come up with plenty of ideas for a fun game. We alternated between nine of them. A game in which you explore a haunted mansion while slowly being turned to stone, one in which you are tech support and trying to fix the university's wifi while students try to stop you. And plenty of other crazy concepts. In the end, we liked one more than the others, though. That one being a visual novel game in which you play as a judge. A bunch of fun and quirky characters will appear before you, and you will have to decide their fate. Some cases will even come back to haunt you later. The art style will be a combination of multiple art styles, each character being drawn in a different way to match their contrasting personalities. We chose this one because we thought it was a fountain of possibilities, and it felt doable as well.
