Week 3
Tudor Marinescu
In week 3, I created more assets for our game, such as all the expressions of the first character. I also developed the story of the first case further, making the romance option funnier and also longer. I also made sure to expand the other paths as well and check the grammar. The new expressions are a happy expression, an angry one, a few romantic ones and a scared one. I also remade the talking one which was the first one to be created in order for consistency between all of them.

In week 3, I implemented a new dialogue system which is more Unity friendly, allowing for more versatility and improving the development time. The new dialogue also improved the look of the UI and the overall feel of the game, allowing for smoother transitions in the dialogue, allowing for scrolling text and the ability to alter it, I added the ability to add character sprites to appear in the dialogue box to show who is currently talking, along with the name of the current speaker.
I discussed with my team what new UI systems I could implement, like a timer and a scoring system, as well as animating the different emotions of the character, which Tudor has designed. I discussed with Martin how he will now write case 3, as we have case 2 partially written.
Overall, we feel like the game is heading in the right direction, and we are implementing the feedback from each playtest very well.

I focused on learning the new dialogue system our team changed to with the goal of creating visual effects and animations for our next prototype. Unfortunately, that proved more challenging than planned, thus my goal was changed to instead supporting the other members of my team by helping them with brainstorming and problem-solving. In addition, I continued working on the implementation of visual effects and animations, moving them for our week 4 prototype instead.
